Composed of 23 Belgian companies, this new cluster will promote the Belgian railway expertise outside the European Union, facilitating collaboration and international contacts amongst its members and potential customers abroad.
ABC with a solid track record in the supply of medium speed diesel engines for locomotives in Belgium and a few other countries around the globe but aims at expanding the number of partnerships with locomotive builders and operators worldwide. Some of the ABC models are ideally positioned to repower existing locomotive at very low cost, making use of existing auxiliary systems and lay-outs and allowing the operator to reduce their OPEX via very low Life Cycle Costs.
ABC developed it’s locomotive division supplying over 170 HLD 77-78 series to the Belgian Railway company (SNCB-NMBS) which are still used today with great satisfaction.
